From idea to Scratch project in five steps
Idea2Scratch helps you turn a simple description into a project you can open in Scratch. The process has three screens: describe, review, and download.
1. Describe your idea
On the Create page, write what you would like to make. A sentence or two is enough, for example “A maze where a robot collects stars and finds the exit.”
2. Review and edit the project plan
We create a plan from your description. This review step lets you correct our interpretation: change the title, pick characters and backdrops, adjust scores and rules, or edit quiz and story content.
3. Approve the plan
When you are happy, approve it. The exact plan you approved is what is used to create your project. We do not quietly change it afterwards.
4. Generate the Scratch project
Your approved plan is converted into a Scratch 3 project using fixed, predictable rules, so the same plan produces the same kind of project.
5. Download the .sb3 file
Download the file and open it in the Scratch editor to play, remix, and learn from it. If something is not right, return to the plan, adjust it, and generate again.
Your work is kept in your browser while you move between steps, so going back to edit does not lose your plan.
